How to Deal With Someone Who Allegedly Sets You Up for Termination

Someone might feel some kind of way about you after you started a new job. You just don’t fit in. And before you complete your new employee certification through completion of employee online modules, a jealous new co-worker sees something in you and starts bad mouthing you here and there. Almost or a little after three weeks in on the new job, you’re pulled in a office or to the side by the same person that hired you and told you’re now fired. Sadly, they use the wrongful termination reason as you not learning fast enough.

The person who allegedly badmouthed you and allegedly conspired to have you secretly fired now brings a GUN to work. You walk past the place you thought was going to be a long-term job. And the person who badmouthed you and allegedly conspired to having your job nixed is cleaning up and getting ready to close the store. And they’re all alone. They see you walk past the store and they keep calling your name. You’re ignoring them on purpose because you’re trying to “follow peace with all men.”

A few feet down after walking past the store, the person who allegedly conspired to having you fired for almost no reason runs up to you as you’re getting ready to cross an intersection. The person comes up to you with a handgun behind their back and mumbles something you can’t decipher. What do you do?

1.Don’t engage in prolonged eye contact.

2. Don’t make any kind of snarly faces.

3. Remain silent.

4. Turn your back on them and SLOWLY walk away without showing 1% of fear.

5. Don’t turn around to see if they’re following you.

6. After a few feet, slowly turn your head to the side without making it obvious to see if they went away.

7. You just saved yourself from a potential murder by a jealous and envious former co-worker.

If you find yourself the envy of people and not fitting in on certain jobs, use the power of positive thinking to start your own business. Rejection in employment is common, as working a regular job is not for creative entrepreneurs.

Food for thought: This scenario actually happened to the founder of this site 10 years ago. A jealous former co-worker started feeling some kind of way because the new employee (founder of dnn) didn’t want to associate nor allow the jealous co-worker at the time to see his VW GTI outside of the workplace “after second thought and casting doubts about the jealous co-worker (assistant store manager and former owner of a White VW 1996-1997 Jetta). The jealous co-worker became furious after being snubbed as a potential VW fit it guy and blurted out on the job “I boost cars.”

Lo and behold, the jealous employee at the time went and tried to bully someone else at an auto shop over something automotiva related and pulled out a firearm, shooting at the person he was bullying. He was later arrested and charged with carrying an unlicensed gun and “allegedly wears the title today of convicted gun felon.”

When you feel bullied by someone on the job and setup for wrongful termination, the best revenge you can get is start feeling good about yourself. You have good traits about you no one can take away. Never allow a workplace bully to best you anytime. Think positive about yourself and use negative experiences to get the best revenge on people who plot on you. When you achieve success in business, you have those people and experiences to be grateful for, because it helped you grow spiritually and entrepreneurially and become a future “side hustle millionaire.”

True story.
