#LookToTheFuture and #ThinkPositive: Why Suggesting Ideas to Your Boss Might NOT Be a #GoodIdea

#PositiveThinking & not sharing that #milliondollar #idea with your #employer is a #goodidea if you want to be a #future #sidehustlemillionaire
A person on Quora.com asks: How do you suggest ideas to your boss?

Answer: While it’s a good idea to be a valuable and priceless asset to the company you’re working for in the moment, there’s a few things you have to look at from an employee’s point of view. Do you feel you’re being treated fairly on the job? Do you feel you have an opportunity to grow with the company and working for them for the next 20 or 30 years? What has your boss done for you lately? Is this the ideal job you want, or is it just a bridge job to the next form of employment or self-employment? Have you received the pay raise in the last 90 days or 6 months? Do you really think suggesting an idea to your boss is a good thing to do right now?

Truth is, you might not want to suggest an idea to your boss right now if you’re feeling some type of way about him or her or the company you work for and here’s why. While you might be contributing to increasing overall revenue for the company as a good employee, if you feel you haven’t been diligently do a pay raise, passed up for a promotion, not given full acknowledgement for your hard work, or being passed over for any type of advancement or additional opportunity, you might want to hold off on that idea being passed off to your employer.

Reason being is this is an age of employment uncertainty, and your job can be jeopardized just because someone doesn’t like you. Or your employer quietly discriminates against you because of shamelessly claiming “Religion” on the job. The idea that you have for your boss might be a good idea for your small business side hustle startup that might possibly make you a future side hustle millionaire.

How would you feel if your employer took your idea, ran with it, made tons of money for the company or for their personal financial gain, and denied you for a pay raise or advancement in the company such as denial into a management position, and never compensated you one dime in sales commission or bonuses or a pay raise because of your idea? This is why every good idea that comes to your mind you can’t tell your employer about if it’s work-related. You might be better off taking that idea and starting your side hustle quietly by starting up an online business working from the comfort of your home or laptop computer in your spare time.

Another truth: A day job is always good to have because it serves the immediate financial needs and necessities, some of which include paying rent or mortgage, keeping food in your refrigerator and utility paid as well as clothes on your back. But never, never ever rely on a day job as your sole source of income for the next 10, 20 or even 30 years. You can have a college degree such as a bachelor’s, MBA, or even a PhD or Ed.D or J.D., and still terminated at will without cause, because someone in the company or your employer has it out for you and want to nix your job.

If you really want to get somewhere in life, keep the idea to yourself and start your side hustle. This way, you really have something to look forward to such as increasing your online income potential with the hope of being a near-future “side hustle millionaire.”
