You’ve reached the end of your shift and about to clock out. Before clocking out, you head to the restroom from the other side of the building to do what you have to do before leaving for the day. Suddenly, a newly hired female employee walks out of the unisex bathroom, turns her head back to look at you, says nothing, and keeps walking forward around the left corner.

You walk into the bathroom to notice there’s an awful smell. Looking deep into the abyss of the toilet, you notice mild streaks of feces lingering in the lower section of the toilet covered by water.

This new female employee leaves you to think about how concerned she is about her overall feminine health. Immediately, you leave the bathroom with your nose virtually in the air and making a virtual screw face out of disgust that she would walk out of the bathroom like that and leave the door open.

The best way to handle this and stay in a positive state of mind is to say nothing to the person when you see them. It’s a test of the character indirectly to see how you would handle such a “horrifically smelly moment.” Would you say something to the person when you see them? Or, would you say nothing and act as if they don’t exist when he ask you to do something for them job related? Saying nothing to the person when you see them as one of many ways to stay in a positive mindset. Another way to handle an employee rule intentionally or unintentionally leaves the bathroom door open after defecating is to stay far away from them.

Moreover, the old the person may not seem like they care about their personal hygiene in reference to leaving the bathroom door open after taking a number two, it’s still a wise decision to be respectful towards them in passing. If they say nothing to you in passing, leave them alone and keep walking. If they speak, you speak to them as well. You can always say “greetings,” or “good day.” Let your words be few. This will show that you have character on your behalf and leaving them baffled with no clue that you acknowledge the female employees’ horrible smell after walking out the bathroom after she defecated.

5 Simple Ways to stay in a positive mindset after “smelling the aftermath of defacation” from any co-worker after they leave the unisex restroom:

  • Take a look at your personal health and what you can do to maintain a healthy mental and oral hygiene
  • Watch what you eat
  • Drink prune juice
  • Use saline solution if necessary to clean your digestive tract
  • Drink lemon water
  • Think positive through healthy eating and being mindful who you associate with in and out of the workplace
